Community & Impact
Building a sustainable future together through ethical practices and community empowerment
At NOWIHT, we believe fashion is more than fabric—it's a force for positive change. Our commitment extends beyond creating beautiful, sustainable clothing to fostering thriving communities and empowering the people who bring our vision to life.
Since our founding, we've built partnerships with artisan communities, supported fair wages, and invested in education programs that create lasting impact. Every piece you wear represents not just sustainable materials, but the dignity, skill, and dreams of the people who crafted it.
Our approach to social responsibility isn't an afterthought—it's woven into every decision we make, from sourcing to production to packaging. We're building a fashion industry that values people as much as profit, and communities as much as commerce.

Women Artisan Programs
Over 85% of our artisans are women, many of whom are the primary breadwinners for their families. We provide not just fair wages 30% above industry standards, but also comprehensive skills training, childcare support, and leadership development programs.
Our partnership with local NGOs ensures these women have access to financial literacy education, healthcare, and opportunities for career advancement. We've seen countless stories of transformation—from single mothers achieving financial independence to young women becoming master craftspeople and training the next generation.
- ✓30% higher wages than industry standard
- ✓Free on-site childcare facilities
- ✓Annual skills development workshops
- ✓Healthcare and maternity benefits
Learning & Development
Education is the cornerstone of lasting change. Our scholarship program has helped over 200 children of artisan families access quality education. We partner with local schools to provide supplies, uniforms, and tutoring support.
For adult artisans, we offer vocational training beyond traditional crafts—including digital literacy, business management, and quality control certification. These skills empower our partners to grow professionally and explore new opportunities within and beyond the fashion industry.
"The skills training I received through NOWIHT changed my life. I went from basic sewing to becoming a quality control supervisor, and now I'm training others. My daughter is in university—something I never dreamed possible."
— Ayşe K., Master Artisan & Team Leader
Sustainable Community Growth
We invest 5% of our annual revenue back into the communities where we operate. This funding supports infrastructure improvements, clean water projects, renewable energy installations, and local healthcare facilities.
Our community centers serve as hubs for social connection, skills exchange, and mutual support. They host everything from traditional craft exhibitions to modern business workshops, creating spaces where heritage and innovation coexist.
By the end of 2024, we've facilitated the establishment of three artisan cooperatives that now operate independently, giving workers collective bargaining power and direct market access. This model of empowerment—not dependence—is at the heart of our community philosophy.
Transparency & Accountability
We believe in open, honest communication about our impact—both achievements and challenges
